who lived and studied in Britain for most of his life.
Müller wrote both scholarly and popular works on the subject of
Sacred Books of the East,
a 50-volume set of English translations,
was prepared under his direction.
one of the founders of the western academic field
of Indian studies and the discipline of comparative religion.
What is emitted from the divine, though it be only like the
reflection from the fire,
still has the divine reality in itself,
might almost ask what were the fire without glow,
the sun without light,
or the Creator without the creature?
